About Smitty's
Smitty's Chrome Shop, located in Oshkosh, NE, is a family run business established in 1990 by founder Warren "Smitty" Smith. The shop is now owned and operated by Kevin & Dena Klockman, who purchased the chrome shop in 2013. Based in Oshkosh, Nebraska we proudly receive and ship parts worldwide.
Every part is hand stripped and polished to ensure that you receive nothing less than pure perfection. We pride ourselves as one of the few shops around that still plates pot metal.

At Smitty's, we have refined our chrome plating process to ensure all of our work is concourse quality. Leaving you with a product you're sure to love.

All parts are inventoried at the shop the minute they enter our shop, then your part will go through many multi-step plating process.
​
Our turn around time is generally two months, but rest assured we are hard at work to get your final product back to you as soon as possible.

If you have a short turn around time, we will do our best to work with you to meet your timeline.
1.
First the part is stripped clean, then bead blasted to make sure everything is off the product.
2.
Now that the part is bare, we sand the product until smooth. This removes all imperfections.
3.
Next we copper plate the part multiple times and buff the product out to a mirror finish.
4.
Once copper plated, we move the part to the nickel station and on to the chrome tank.
